#RightToAnEducationMA is a grassroots movement in Massachusetts led by The Canary Party and Health Choice 4 Action, both 501 (c)(4) organizations.
We have formed to oppose bill H.3999, which aims to eliminate Religious Exemptions in the state of Massachusetts, thus removing a child's legal right to an education based on their family's religious beliefs.
We believe in civil and human rights for all. Every child deserves a public education without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or disability. There is no emergency in the state at this time and MA has achieved one of the highest rates of vaccination in the country without coercive means and exceeds the levels for herd immunity. There are protocols in place to prevent the spread of any communicable exposure, this includes both infected and exposed individuals who are legally required to quarantine at home until cleared to return to school. The foundation of our country was founded on civil liberties and through the generations we have come to strengthen the rights of all so we are all equal.
We believe that all children deserve the right to an education without infringing upon the religion in which they are raised.
To protect the current legal rights of all Massachusetts children to a Free Appropriate Public Education and to advocate for improved legislation to protect medically injured children and their families.
